Philip is the Trust Investment Manager and oversees the investment unit of the Trust and Financial Management Group. His responsibilities include the oversight of investment strategies, investment analysis and manager selections. Philip joined C&N in 2000. He was previously responsible for the delivery of C&N’s financial services, including the sales and service of Trust, Brokerage and Insurance services. He also retains administration duties for client accounts.

Prior to joining C&N, Philip’s experience at C&N, Prough Insurance Agency and Parente Randolph provided him with valuable skills and insight to lead his team to success at C&N. Philip’s driving philosophy is that “providing a deep, knowledgeable team gives our clients assurance that we have a sustainable support network to meet their changing financial needs. But it’s our personal service that demonstrates our clients will always be our primary focus.”

Philip is an honors graduate from Lycoming College, receiving his Bachelor's of Arts degree in Accounting. He received his Master of Business Administration from Colorado State University in 2012 and has held the designation of Certified Financial Planner® practitioner since 2003. He also holds various securities and insurance licenses.

In his 21-year career with C&N, James has worn many hats, starting as a management trainee back in 1999 and rising to his new post as Director of Wealth Management Operations. In this role, he’s responsible for all daily operational support for Wealth Management, coordinating with IT, and assisting with compliance oversight and retirement plan customer service. 

James has a B.S. in Business Administration from Mansfield University, and is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary and Accredited Trust Professional. When not at work, he coaches youth softball and soccer, golfs, gardens and enjoys watching his four children participate in extracurricular activities along with his wife, Kelly.

Larry is a local industry veteran with extensive knowledge and expertise in all facets of financial planning. With over 20 years in the financial services industry, he has been with C&N since 1999 and is currently the Trust Sales & Services Manager, a role in which his personal goal of helping people is fulfilled day in, day out. He believes that “superior service” means getting to know our clients, understanding what is truly important to them, and helping them put a plan together to accomplish those very personal desires.

Larry is an Honors Graduate of Cannon Financial Institute, Trust Schools 1, 2, & 3.  He has also completed the College for Financial Planning Professional Education and the American Bankers Association Private Wealth Management School. In addition to holding the designation of both Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) and Certified Financial Planner practitioner (CFP), he also holds Security Licenses Series 7 – General Securities Representative and Series 63 – Uniform Securities Agent, as well as Life, Accident, Health and Property Casualty Insurance Licenses. Larry served as a member of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association Advisory Committee on Financial Planning from 2002 through 2004.

Larry is known to be an exceptionally active member of his community. He was appointed and/or elected to Pike Township Board of Supervisors from 1992 through 2011. He is also an active member and Sunday School teacher of the Rome Presbyterian Church, Past President of Athens Rotary, a member of LeRay Lodge #471 F. & A.M., a member of the Financial Planning Association, and has been a member of the Finance and Investment Committee for the Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers since its inception in 2002.

Doris Merrick, CPA, MBA, JD

Doris Merrick joined C&N in 2020 as Vice President and Senior Trust Tax Officer, bringing over 29 years of experience and knowledge to the Wealth Management team. Doris is a licensed CPA in North Carolina, a licensed attorney in New Jersey and North Carolina and earned the designation of Certified Fiduciary and Investment Risk Specialist (CFIRS) from the Cannon Financial Institute. Prior to joining C&N, she was a Trust and Estates Manager at a CPA firm in Madison, New Jersey for nine years. In her role as Senior Trust Tax Officer, she provides client-centered personal and fiduciary tax services. 

Doris earned her B.S. in Accounting from Hunter College, her MBA in Tax from New York University, and her J.D. from the University of Maryland. She is a member of the American Bar Association and State CPA Society. She spends her free time as organist at her local church, and volunteers for CASA in Morris County, NJ. Doris lives with her husband, Bruce Yeatman, and has one adult son, Philip.
